Lieven Dermul got a master degree at the Conservatory (Production). Wim Slabbinck is sexologist. Together they’re Waxdolls, an electropunk band from Ghent. Two boys and some toys, that’s all we need.

After only one year of existence, Waxdolls shared the stage with Joost van Bellen, Justin Robertson and Digitalism. They got splendid reviews on their sets at 10 Days Off, Dour and StuBru PuntUit. And after their gig at the special Belgian edition of Eurosonic Noorderslag (Groningen, the Netherlands), they were called “best Belgians” by 3voor12 (VPRO).

With the single still to be released, Waxdolls already managed to fill its agenda for this spring. And with their forthcoming album ‘High Speed Killer Ride’, Waxdolls got their ticket to the summer. So wax your legs and prepare yourself for the hottest summer of the 21st century!

‘Chips’ will be released at Sputnik and distributed by PIAS. The single is taken from the forthcoming album ‘High Speed Killer Ride’ which will be released in spring 2009.
