We last wrote about The Envy Corps when they were releasing Dwell on iTunes last summer, which was two months after the initial release. It’s really a shame to not hear more about them, so we’ll open the door a bit wider on the Iowa boys.

Since last July the group has toured, visited Daytrotter, recorded an EP and then toured some more. For a five-some that invests in all of the things we love about music - electrically-ignited guitar rock, poetic and emotion-driven lyrical ballads and tracks that jet from the start with all instrumental windows open to the changing weather - it isn’t a stretch to say The Envy Corps have earned their own watch list.

In June, The Envy Corps dropped their prelude EP (Kid Gloves) for their upcoming album, Palawan Scops/I Hate My Host Family, which hasn’t had a release date announced yet. Although the EP hasn’t been released on iTunes yet, Kid Gloves can be found at Smash.
