King Creosote is the name used for current solo releases of the musician Kenny Anderson, formerly lead singer of Skuobhie Dubh Orchestra and Khartoum Heroes.

A popular misconception is that this is the name of the band featuring him and not just his stage name. However, at live shows, he will usually introduce his band members by their similar pseudonyms - some fellow Fence Collective artistes such as “The Pictish Trail” (aka Johnny Lynch), On The Fly and Uncle Beesly, to name but the usual line-up. There are 4 albums out and about: Kenny and Beth’s Musakal Boat Rides (2003); Rocket D.I.Y. (2005); KC Rules OK (2005) and Bombshell (2007).

King Creosote is set to release his brand new album, Flick the Vs, on 20th April 2009. The album will be followed by the release of a single, Coast On By, on April 27th. King Creosote will be performing live around release - details to be announced soon. He will also be curating Homegame, an annual three day festival with performances from the various acts associated with the Fence Collective, taking place in Fife from April 17th - 19th
