The Grief, a praise of suffering, is formed by: X (guitars and orchestration); Galeas (voices); Al-Asif (bass-guitar) and X-ri (drums). After the disintegration of the missing band, Kybalion (Ecuador), X-ri, X and Sohamel decided to project a new music style which fits better to the predominant feeling in their musical compositions, the grief. After the disintegration of Kybalion, the voices were entrusted to Galeas who, with a harmful and aggressive style, complements the trend that The Grief started to mark with its music. Thanks to theirs demo promotion, entitled "The Realm of The Grief". With the demo they catch the attention of the Ecuadorian metal fans, which with 3 songs filled with fury and melancholy is able to define the essence of the new born style of the band. This work was spread in several mass media, written media and radial media specially, and it also arrived to a lot of Ecuador's provinces, where people received with joy the pain's arrival into their lives. The promotion was also directed to foreign countries where the band would deserve several congratulations, critics and advises that provides The Grief the possibility to mature their style. Four years under the name The Grief brings with it some concerts and small tours inside Ecuador that ensures the band a privileged space in the Ecuadorian metal scene, thanks to the unconditional support from the band's fans, who enjoy with The Grief the suffering's ecstasy.
