Phinx are Francesco Fabris (vocals, guitar and programming), Pietro Secco (bass, synth), Alberto Paolini (drums, groovebox) and Daniele Fabris, Francesco's younger broche, (synths, sequencers). They are four young musicians from the North-East of Italy who founded their band in 2007 merging different music styles: electro, post-grunge, rock, dance and pop. During the same year they recorded a self-produced demo which brought them to win the first Italian MySpace Contest and start performing live regularly. In 2008 they signed a deal with production house Pianozero and PR company Red & Blue. In 2009 they became IRMA recording artists. Phinx's debut album is titled 'Login', it's produced by Michele Rebesco and Alberto Zanotto and will be released in the Autumn 2010. In their songs the listener will easily feel the band's main influences: the wild rock of Nirvana, the boys' idols when they were in their teens, the sound of Radiohead in 'OK Computer' and 'Kid A', Northern European electro-indie (Soulwax, Daft Punk, Digitalism, Prodigy, etc.), but also melody, biting guitars, synth harmonies and driving dance rhythms. Their first TV appearance was courtesy of MTV, who defined their single 'The Gamer' 'the coolest video of Summer 2009' and took them on board for 'TRL On Tour' in 2010.
