(the cure cover) DEAD SEXY After almost 3 years of touring around the globe, former LA based French Dead Sexy relocated in Berlin in 2010 and started to work on the follow up to the acclaimed "Kamikaze". In the summer of 2011, the band decided to redefine their sound to get a closer approach of their live performances. Very influenced by their worldwide travels and endless night in Berlin, started to find the lead for « Rodeo Boys », a hell of a ride that features a cocktail of filthy rock'n'roll and electronic anthem. After few weeks of pre-production of the record in Berlin, Dead Sexy stopped on 12 tracks and started collaborations with a selected choice of musicians : Cyril Debarge (We Are Enfant Terrible), James Leg (Black Diamond Heavies), Suzanne Combo (Pravda), Romain Frequency (Electrosexual), David Maars (Platzblanche), Boris Jardel (Indochine), and Mickey Blow (Johnny Thunders). The result is a mix of classic beats and hypnotic riffs, between dancefloor electro rock tribute to Berghain « Panorama » and early new wave infuences of « Slow motion ». « Rodeo Boys » covers the widest specter of Dead Sexy, a bunch of runaway boys fed with the poison of Iggy, Ziggy and Alan V, the essence of punk, 808 and 666... Recorded between Berlin, and Paris, the band worked with various engineers, including Dimitri Dupire (Mignon), and Thomas Stern (Crime & The City Solution, Einstürzende Neubauten...) who gave them the vintage guitar sound they where looking for.
