Sixeyes Mix: MAY 20th

Patrick Watson (the man and the band) is currently riding the wave of lovely sounds that is their most recent release, Wooden Arms (check out my review here and grab an mp3). Prior to this and to his winning Canada's Polaris Prize for previous album, Close To Paradise, Watson worked, recorded and toured with the UK's The Cinematic Orchestra. Appearing on the band's fourth album, Ma Fleur, Watson contributed to four songs including opening track, "To Build A Home". This song has long (okay, two years isn't very long) been a favourite of mine, although usually when I listen I don't even think of it as being any thing but a Patrick Watson song, his musical persona and energy is very strong and they make it his song.
